Our more feminine style of Pinot Noir, produced to be aromatic and pretty with soft, elegant red-fruit flavours. We aim for this wine to be multilayered and approachable young, with an emphasis on the primary fruit. Underneath, this wine is serious at heart and will evolve with age into a dark, broody Pinot Noir.

Sour red cherries and jasmine notes on the nose. Strawberry and fennel. Rosehip jelly.
On the palate is fruit sweetness. Plush and pretty with a soft mouthfeel. Herbaceous with whole bunch edge amongst ripe tannins. Lovely balance.
Clones 777, 114 & 115 all from > 1000m above sea level.
Handpicked into 10kg picking baskets.
14% carbonic maceration, 30% whole bunches.
Fruit chilled overnight then destemmed to a 1T fermenter.
Wild yeast fermentation.
Warm fermentation hand plunged 2 x daily.
Soaked on skins for 18 days post ferment.
Pressed to 225L barriques (24% new French oak).
Full natural malolactic fermentation.
12 months maturation.
Racked to tank March 2018.
Settled in tank for a 2nd Winter.
