This Chardonnay is made in a traditional full-bodied style. It is multifaceted and has been given the full treatment in the winery – French oak, malolactic fermentation, lees stirring and full solids ferment. We aim to cram this wine full of flavour whilst maintaining balance and freshness.
Out of stock
Cumquats and orange zest on the nose. There’s toasted nuts aroma with a hint of caramel too. The palate is grainy and textured thanks to plenty of lees contact in French oak. It’s voluminous in the mid-palate but held by a taut acid spine. Some phenolic grip adds structure to the stone fruit flavours and a bit of malo creaminess softens the edges.
“Another exceptional release from Rikard with significant stature.” 94/100 Patrick Eckel winereviewer.com.au
“I absolutely loved it & for me it all worked perfectly well when combined with its complexity & intense fruit flavour (thanks to its cool climate growing conditions). An exceptional & opulent Chardonnay for $30!”
